Terms of Service
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and National Parks Hub (also operating as My National Parks Adventure). By creating an account, making a purchase, or using the site or app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. No hard feelings.
2. What National Parks Hub is
National Parks Hub exists to help people actually plan, experience, and remember their trips to America's national parks, turning the research and guesswork of "where should we go and what should we do" into something clear, and giving people a real way to track and hold onto what they've seen along the way. What that looks like in practice will keep evolving; this policy governs your use of National Parks Hub as a whole, however it's expressed on a given day.
3. Your account
- You must provide a real email address and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Accounts are for individuals. One person, one passport.
- You must be at least 13 to create an account (and at least 18, or have a parent's permission, to make purchases).
- We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (see Section 8).
4. Purchases, passes, and refunds
One-time purchases (single-park plans and bundles) grant you personal, non-transferable access to the purchased itinerary and materials for your own trip planning.
Explorer is our annual membership. It renews yearly until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid year. Founding Pass is an Explorer membership with your renewal price locked in for as long as it stays continuously active, our thank-you for joining early.
Refunds: the honest version. National Parks Hub is run by a very small team, and every plan is generated on demand at real cost. So we'll give it to you straight: digital purchases are final. The one exception is technical failure. If you paid and your plan didn't generate or couldn't be delivered, contact us and we will fix it or regenerate it at no charge. Beyond that, we don't do refund theater. What we do instead: if a plan fell short of what you expected, tell us exactly how at [email protected]. We read every message, we build from that feedback, and when we've rebuilt the thing to the standard you described, we'll email you. You'll know your complaint became a feature. Physical products (posters, books) are different: report a damaged or defective item here with a description of the issue. We review each report individually and work in good faith toward a fair resolution, a reprint, a refund, or store credit, but because the outcome depends in part on our print partner's own policies, we can't guarantee a specific result in advance.
Prices may change, but changes never apply retroactively to something you already bought, and Founder Pass price locks are honored as promised.
5. Your content
You own your journal. Everything you write and every photo you upload remains yours. By storing it with us, you give us only the technical license needed to host, back up, and display it to you (and to others, only where you use a share feature).
Submitted stories. If you submit a story for publication on a park page (the National Parks Blog), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, excerpt, and promote that story on National Parks Hub with your byline. You can request removal of a published story at any time and we'll take it down within a reasonable period. You confirm that anything you submit is your own work and true to your experience.
6. Our content
The park guides, itinerary formats, designs, illustrations, poster artwork, and the National Parks Hub and My National Parks Adventure names are our intellectual property, protected by copyright. Factual park data sourced from the National Park Service is public information; our presentation, curation, and writing are not. You may print and use your purchased itineraries for personal trips. You may not republish, scrape, resell, or use our content to build a competing product.
7. Trip information, AI, and the outdoors
AI-generated plans. Our trip planner uses AI to assemble itineraries. We layer in live, factual data (hours, alerts, weather) from official sources at generation time, but any plan can contain errors or go stale the moment conditions change. Plans are a starting point for your judgment, not a substitute for it.
All AI features, including the Adventure Ranger. Every AI feature on this site and in the app, including the trip planner, the Adventure Ranger, refinement chat, and any photo identification, is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only. AI answers try to be accurate and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date at any time. They are never professional advice of any kind (not medical, legal, survival, navigation, or safety advice), never a go/no-go decision on trail, water, weather, or wildlife conditions, and never a substitute for official sources. Always verify anything that matters with the National Park Service (nps.gov), rangers on site, and posted signage. Photo identifications (plants, wildlife, landmarks) are best-effort guesses; never eat, touch, or approach anything based on an AI identification.
Not an emergency service. No feature of this site or app can send help, contact rescue services, or handle an emergency. In any emergency, call 911 immediately. AI features require an internet connection (wifi or cellular data) and will not function without one; do not rely on them as your only source of information in areas without service.
No warranty. The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep information accurate and the service running, but we can't guarantee either at all times.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, National Parks Hub is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made on the trail. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Acceptable use
Don't: break the law, upload content you don't have rights to, harass others, submit fabricated stories as true, attempt to bypass purchase or rate limits, scrape the site, or interfere with the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do.
9. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of outside providers to handle things like payments, printing and shipping, mapping, and AI itinerary generation, each under their own terms. We don't currently use affiliate links anywhere on National Parks Hub. If that ever changes for a given link, it will be marked plainly where it appears, and it will never change the price you pay.
10. Ending things
You can delete your account anytime (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; meaningful changes will be dated at the top of this page and, when significant, emailed to account holders. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Contact
